Biography

• Margo Vlamings is graphic designer, illustrator and visual artist, based in the Netherlands. She studied Graphic design at the University of arts in Arnhem (ArteZ), in the east of the Netherlands. After her graduation in 1995, she founded her own graphic design studio. Image played always a very important role in her designs. Also Playfulness characterizes her designs. In 2012, she started to made her first photographic images. Initially to build an illustrative portfolio. She subsequently worked for years as an illustrator for dutch magazines and de Volkskrant (a major national newspaper). After so many years of working on commission, the desire arose to work more abstractly. She signed up for a coaching program at the Photo Academy in Amsterdam. Since then, she has been developing her own style as an visual artist. She calls her work ‘photograpy 2.0’, because she continues to discover new techniques for creating photographic images.
